CSE hosts Developers Workshop
Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IUB hosted an “Developers Workshop” and Awareness talk on telco API knowledge, industry growth, market analysis on 4th November, 2018. This event is conducted and organized by BDApps an initiative by Robi Axiata Ltd. The "Developers Workshop" demonstrated hands on experience of how to create mobile applications in short time and strategies for revenue generation.This awareness program was organized specially for the students of SECS of IUB.
BDApps is a platform presented by Robi Axiata PLC to developers and content providers to use the Robi network based features via shared APIs and monetize their efforts. The platform allows developers to use features based on BDApps Pro, where the scripts to APIs are shared for them to create applications, whereas, BDApps Lite comprise of pre-loaded applications for a content provider. The BDApps Store presents the applications that are published for the benefit of the general public. This enables developers to showcase their talents and earn by creating apps.
Fahim Ahmed (Coordinator, BDApps) motivated and encouraged the students to take part in application development, providing industry standard knowledge and guidelines to build apps on demand. The workshop conducted was a training for students to use state of the art Telco API to handle in app registration and billing, providing application promotion and marketing ideas, developing entrepreneurship skills.The workshop was a bridge for students to development industry. Members of IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of the CSE department organised this event successfully
