CSE hosted 'Cloud Computing' Seminar
Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IUB , hosted a seminar "Cloud Computing" on 12 November 2018 at IUB. The seminar was conducted by Mr. Akhtar Hossain, Sr. Solutions Architect - Microsoft Platform Specialist, Amazon Web Service. The program was glorified with the presence of Prof. M. Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of the university. Prof. Mohammed Anwer, Dean, School of Engineering and Computer Science, Dr. Mahady Hasan, Head CSE, Prof. Khosru M. Selim Head EEE, and other faculty members of the school were present in the program.
Cloud computing enables innovation by alleviating the need of innovators to find resources to develop, test, and make their innovations available to the user community. Innovators are free to focus on the innovation rather than the logistics of finding and managing resources that enable the innovation. Mr. Akhtar Hossain has over 20+ years of experience in IT architecture and solution delivery. While working as an AWS Enterprise Solution Architect he is partnering up with customers and AWS Sales to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. Mr Akhtar explained and motivated the students about the open research issues in this domain. He encouraged the students to take part in this field of innovation providing industry standard knowledge and guidelines . Following the presentation, floor was open for question - answer session moderated by Dr. Mahady Hasan where students and faculty members participated enthusiastically.
The Seminar ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof Mohammed Anwer, Dean of School of Engineering and Computer Sciences and made supportive guidance, enlightening remarks on the field of cloud computing . Members of IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of the CSE Department organized this event successfully.
