A day-long workshop on ‘Outcome-based Education and Curriculum’ organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) held on February 14, 2019 at the Multipurpose Hall of IUB. The objective of the workshop was to facilitate the comprehension and implementation of the approach of Outcome-based Education among the faculty members of IUB with a contextual focus. It also focused on Outcome-based Teaching-Learning and Outcome-based Assessment for the effective learning of the students.
A total of 170 faculty members from all departments and schools of IUB actively participated in the workshop while the resource person was Dr. Tazmeen Ahmed, Former Quality Assurance Consultant, Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) at the University Grants Commission. Professor M Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, IUB inaugurated the workshop.
Earlier Dr. Mahbub Alam, Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of IUB welcomed the participants and Mr. Obydullah Al Marjuk, Additional Director of IQAC of IUB introduced the resource person to the participant. The event was organized by the IQAC Team under the supervision of Mr. Salman Shakil Farhan, Administrative Officer of the IQAC of IUB.
