The word ‘Clean Cooking’ is a technology which means replacing traditional fireplaces with cleaner fuels and more energy-efficient cooking solution that reduces smoke emissions, provide cost savings, decreases time & resources need to procure fuel, and most importantly – saves lives. In Bangladesh, currently over 80% of population are living without access to clean cooking. This results 75000 women & children die every year since the households are polluting air by cooking through smoky fires. To address these issues and to create awareness among the faculties & students, a event titled ‘What’s Cooking: Clean Cooking Seminar for Young Changemakers’ was held at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in Bashundhara, Dhaka on April 29, 2019.
