Workshop on Practical Converter Design
IEEE Industry Application Society IUB Student Branch Chapter in association with IEEE IUB Student Branch organized a workshop on "Practical Converter Design" on September 4, 2020. Engr. Mohammad Rejwan Uddin, Techguru of IUB Fablab & Adjunct Faculty of EEE department of IUB conducted the workshop. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzak, Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at IUB and the faculty advisor of IEEE IAS IUB Student Branch Chapter and mentor of IEEE IUB Student Branch introduced the speaker and officially inaugurated the workshop. The event was held on google meet platform. More than 80 participants from IUB and 10 other universities attended the online workshop. The participants learned about the practical design aspects of AC-DC, DC-AC and DC-DC converters using PSIM and PROTEUS simulation platform for industrial and commercial applications. The question and answer session provided in-depth knowledge where participants asked relevant technical questions about practical converter design. The workshop ended with a vote of thanks and handing over an e-Certificate as a token of appreciation by Dr. Md. Kafiul Islam, Associate Professor of EEE department and the Branch counselor of IEEE IUB Student Branch. The workshop was hosted by Ms. Imtiaz Anisha Mahinoor, Ferdous the Chair of IEEE IUB Student Branch.
