As the nation commemorates Bangabandhu’s historic 7th March speech, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) pays tribute on this grand occasion by placing flower bouquet at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in Dhanmondi 32 no.
On March 7, 2021 morning, a team of IUB, led by its Vice Chancellor Professor Tanweer Hasan, made a procession to reach the venue with colorful banners and bunch of flowers. The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by the university students, Treasurer, Deans, members from the faculty & administration.
This year, the day has come with a different fervor amid Bangabandhu’s birth centenary celebrations. It is the 50th year of this timeless revolutionary speech while the country is also set to celebrate the golden jubilee of independence. UNESCO has added Bangabandhu’s speech to the Memory of the World Register, recognizing its importance as part of the world's documentary heritage’.
As part of its committed efforts, the University organizes & celebrates these events every year in befitting manner that involves the whole IUB family enthusiastically.
