IUB Graduate Receives Best Presenter Award in International Conference in Canada

Navid Bin Ahmed, a Masters's student in Electronics Engineering of IUB received the best presenter award along with the co-presenter Nuzhat Arifa Haque from NSU in 2021 IEEE International Conference on IoT, Electronics, and Mechatronics (IEMTRONICS) in Toronto, Canada held virtually from April 21-24, 2021. They won the best presenter award competing with 7 other presenters each from different countries. Navid also received the 'Certificate of Appreciation for serving as a reviewer at the conference.
Co-authors of Navid's paper were Prof. Dr. Shahriar Khan from the Department of EEE, IUB, Prof Dr. Shazzad Hossain, and Nuzhat Arifa Haque from the department of CSE, North South University. They jointly worked to develop a remote COVID symptom detector.
The conference was adorned with the presence and invited talks by prominent professors and research scientists from NVIDIA, Golem Labs, Boston University, Stanford University, Yale University from the USA, and the University of Waterloo from Canada.
However, the project initiatives and presentation created quite a good resonance among the audiences. The researchers also expect that their initiative may bring a breakthrough globally in the remote detection of the COVID symptoms among people.
