IUB EEE Graduate Receives Best Presenter Award in World AI and IOT Congress in USA
SK Adif Farhan, a recent graduate of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, School of Engineering, Technology and Sciences at Independent University Bangladesh grabbed the Best Presenter Award at the IEEE World AI and IoT Congress held at Seattle, USA during May 10-13, 2021. He has been awarded the best presenter certificate in the closing session of the congress. Mr. Farhan presented the research paper with the title of "Improvement of Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication Skills of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder Using Human Robot Interaction'', which is co-authored by Mohammad Nasfikur Rahman Khan and Md. Abdur Razzak. His research project was based on the improvement of neurological and physical limitations of special children using Human Robot Interaction, which is the first of its kind of research in Bangladesh. The research paper presented at the congress will be indexed in IEEE Xplore digital library. The research was conducted in a local school for the autistic children named Society for the Welfare of Autistic Children (SWAC) located in Shyamoli, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The research project was supervised jointly by Mohammad Nasfikur Rahman Khan, Lecturer of EEE department and Dr. Md. Abdur Razzak, Professor of EEE department at IUB.
