Nazifa qualified as the 6th best speaker of the Bangabandhu-Dhaka International Debate Fest for OIC Youth (BDIDF)
Of the two IUB students to win in the Bangabandhu-Dhaka International Debate Fest for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Youth (BDIDF), the Global Studies & Governance Program is proud to announce Nazifa Raidah receiving the First Runner-up and 6th Best Speaker prizes/recognition. This was the top IUB accolade. Competing against 24 other teams, she exposed the quality she is made of, based upon her training as a Major within the academically charged SCImago-leading Independent University, Bangladesh. Just one indication of her caliber: she faced 24 other teams from the most competitive universities right across Bangladesh, and came through virtually unscathed.
We congratulate her, and hope she will inspire her 30-odd other GSG Majors and 25-odd Minors top follow suit. In turn, we hope, this will prolong IUB’s SCImago-leading ranking today far into the future.
The tournament honored the country’s Founding Father, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on his Birth Anniversary, with winners proceeding to the “global” phase. In addition to the OIC, it was organized by the Bangladesh Government’s Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum, Bangladesh National Museum, and the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Bangladesh Debate Federation.
