IUB admissions office organizes webinar on post-covid academic activities

The Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid office organized a webinar on December 14, 2021 titled "Post-Covid academic activities: The Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) Context." At the webinar, speakers discussed the overall impact of online and offline education system adopted by pandemic and post pandemic scenario. The online classes, assessment, online tutorial and ongoing club and extracurricular activities were discussed for interested candidates, parents, and guardians. Online admission process and financial aid/scholarship support by the university were the other core issues which were discussed. IUB's initiatives to ensure mental wellbeing of its students through the counselling center was also highlighted.
Dr. Rezwanul Alam, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Management Information System and Sharmeen Ahmed, Head (acting), Department of Social Sciences and Humanities were the speakers. Lima Choudhury, Head of Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid Office, was the moderator and coordinator of the event.
Noha Muhammad Samim Murshed and Shourov Sarker, both current students, spoke on behalf of students. University facilities, activities and alumni placement schemes were also shown for the prospective students. The webinar ended with a question-answer session in which questions were received through Facebook.
