Dept. of EEE and Ulterior Engineering host event on Career in Industrial Automation

The IEEE Industry Applications Society IUB Student Branch, with the support of the Department of EEE and IEEE IUB SB, organized an event titled "Career in Industrial Automation" in collaboration with Ulterior Engineering Ltd.

The event was divided into three phases. In the first phase, experts from Ulterior Engineering Ltd. conducted a seminar where they discussed industrial automation and gave an overview of their company and the career opportunities in industrial automation.

In the second phase, they conducted a hands-on workshop with the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), accessories, and relevant equipment they brought. Tokens of appreciation were given to the experts by Dr. Md. Kafiul Islam, Branch Counsellor IEEE IUB Student Branch and Dr. Khosru Mohammad Salim, Professor of EEE and Proctor, IUB.

In the 3rd and final phase, around 30 students, led by two EEE faculty members, Md. Istiak Ahmed, Lecturer, and Md. Iftadul Islam Sakib, Adjunct Faculty, visited Ulterior Engineering Ltd’s facilities at Mohakhali, Dhaka. During the visit, the students experienced the practice applications of the topics they learned during the theoretical workshop.
