EEE Day 2016 observed at IUB
The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) observed ‘EEE Day 2016’ on 10th March, 2016 in its campus at Bashundhara, Dhaka. The day-long programme started with a colorful rally by the students followed by technical talk session, technical quiz competition, MATLAB coding challenge, circuit debugging challenge, games events and a cultural show. Prof. M Omar Rahman, vice-chancellor of IUB, inaugurated the programme as the chief guest. Dr. Shahriar Khan, Dean, School of Engineering and Computer Science and Dr. M. Abdur Razzak, Head, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering were spoke on the occasion among others. In the inaugural ceremony, the official inauguration of world famous andro-humanoid robot, NAO_IUB, which is the first and only andro-humanoid robot in Bangladesh, was introduced to the audience. The EEE day was then made open by the Chief Guest by cutting a cake in honor of the day. Abdul Jabbar, an Alumni of the EEE department and currently working in Intel Corporation (Denmark) shared his experience in a technical talk session “The journey from IUB to Intel”. Later, Dr. M. Abdur Razzak, Head of EEE department distributed prizes among the winners of different competitions. A total of more than 275 students were participated in the day-long event.
