4th International Conference on Advances in Electrical Engineering inaugurated at IUB (with video)
The inaugural ceremony of 3-day long 4th International Conference on Advances in Electrical Engineering (ICAEE) was held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka.
Mr. Nasrul Hamid MP, honorable State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources of the government of Bangladesh inaugurated the Conference as Chief Guest. In his speech the Minister highlighted the wonders of electrical engineering. He said, new technology and technological ideas are changing the world so fast, even, it is changing in every minute. He also stated that, by December 2018, every village of the country will be under electrification.
Dr. Quazi Deen Mohd Khosru, Chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section and Professor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Engr. Kabir Ahmed Bhuiyan, President, the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh attended the Ceremony as Special Guests and also spoke on the occasion.
Prof. M. Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, IUB and the Chief Patron and Chair of the Advisory Committee, presided over the inaugural ceremony and delivered introductory remarks. Dr. M. Abdur Razzak, Conference General Chair, delivered his welcome speech.
Among others, Prof. Shahriar Khan, Dean, School of Engineering and Computer Science, IUB, spoke in the ceremony. Dr. Mustafa Habib Chowdhury, Organizing Chair of the Conference gave formal vote of thanks.
Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) is implementing this 3-day long International Conference from September 28-30, 2017 at IUB Campus. A total number of 170 academician, scientists, engineers, researchers and students from 11 countries around the world are participating in the Conference. 6 Keynote Speakers from India, Japan and Malaysia will also deliver their speeches.
There will be 16 working sessions in this 3-day Conference while eminent professionals from home and abroad will chair the sessions. The eventual takeouts of the Conference will be submitted formally to the policymakers for effective implementation.
Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organizes this conference in every two years since 2011.
