The main objectives of this office, instituted in late 2003, are to:

Provide academic, financial, personal and career development counseling

Monitor academic success in relation to the world of work

Cultivate and maintain relationship with employers, relevant institutions and organizations;

Design and implement programmes/activities tailored to address issues related to academia and development.

Students are encouraged to discuss ideas with their academic and career counselor to focus on the future career options and job placement. The earlier a student makes use of this counseling, the more likely that his/her career aims will be achieved. Information on career options, job search and the use of the database on prospective employers are part of the assistance offered. 

CGP publishes a newsletter titled “Career” periodically, which is distributed to the prospective local, national and multi-national employers so that they are kept abreast of the progress of the university and quality of the IUB graduates.
