The Vice Chancellor awards Certificates to AIESEC in IUB | The Vice Chancellor of Independent University, Bangladesh, Prof. Bazlul Mobin Chowdhury, awarded certificates to students from AIESEC in IUB to appreciate their participation in Coastal Cleanup in Cox’s Bazaar. The Coastal Cleanup was organized by AIESEC in IUB on 16th December 2009 to celebrate the Victory Day through Volunteerism. The Coastal Cleanup was organized to commemorate the actions of the freedom fighters with a voluntary act of community service to raise voice against freedom from marine pollution. This act of volunteerism from AIESEC in IUB and other organizations will give rise to a new liberation movement. AIESEC has always been one step ahead on developing leaders to have a positive impact on the society by achieving impact. Twenty active members from AIESEC in IUB participated on 16th December 2009 to celebrate Independence Day by cleaning the beach and spreading awareness among the local on the importance of keeping the beach clean. The Vice Chancellor awarded certificate of appreciation to the enthusiastic members of AIESEC and encouraged them to continue such endeavors in the future by taking part in social activities. He expressed his appreciation that AIESEC in IUB, being the youth, are taking initiatives for making a positive impact in the society. And in this way they can develop not only leadership but also sustainability in the future. The award giving ceremony was organized by the Office of Career Guidance and Placement (CGP), Independent University, Bangladesh. Officials from the CGP were present in the event. |
