The School of Environmental Science and Management (SESM) of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has introduced M.Sc programme on Natural Resources & Disaster Management. In its first batch, this programme is hosting 12 graduate students.

Welcoming the newly enrolled students in an orientation session on the 24^th January, 2010 at IUB’s Baridhara campus, the director of SESM Prof. Haroun Er Rashid promised to fulfill their expectations.

The Director of the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Prof. Nazrul Islam in his speech said: ‘It is high time that we should study environment as environmental hazard is an issue of high concern globally and Bangladesh is one of the affected countries.”
