Orientation of MDS programme  | The orientation programme of the Master in Development Studies (MDS) was held at campus 11 on 25th January, 2010. The Vice Chancellor Prof. Bazlul Mobin Chowdhury, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Omar Rahman, Prof Razia Sultana Khan; Head, Department of English and Modern Languages and Prof. Nazrul Islam Director, School of Liberal Arts and Social Science (SLASS) and coordinator of the MDS programme, Prof. Haroun Er Rashid, Director, School of Environmental Science & Management and other faculty members were present in the occasion to welcome the students. The programme was addressed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nazrul Islam, Prof Haroun Er Rashid, Prof Razia Sultana Khan and an MDS student. This year a good number of IUB graduates and two students from Nepal have enrolled in the programme. The Vice chancellor in his speech said how happy he was to see specially the old students enrolled this year. The Pro Vice Chancellor welcomed the graduate students and said ‘it is a multifaceted subject that invites many ideas and huge challenges; don’t take anything for granted and live your own life not other’s’.
