Workshop on Discovery of Library Resources 
| | Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) Library organized two workshops on Discovery of library resources and information searching related issues for the IUB community. The first one was held on June 21, 2012 and another one on June 28, 2012 for the faculty members of School of Business and School of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences respectively, at the Computer Lab of the School of Business. Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor M. Omar Rahman inaugurated the workshop as chief guest. Professor Dr. Nadim Jahangir, Dean, School of Business and Professor Nazrul Islam, Dean, School of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences spoke on the respective days of the workshop. A number of eminent faculty members also attended the workshops. The workshops contained with four sessions covering the topics on introducing the print & electronic resources of IUB library, Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) & Digital Institutional Repository, Information search strategy, search formulation & search techniques and Electronic databases usage and personalization process of the databases, etc. along-with the theoretical presentation all the sessions comprised with detail hands-on practices. The participants shared their views and ideas regarding the maximum uses of print and electronic resources of IUB Library. |   |  |   |  |
