The office of Career Guidance and Placement (CGP) at IUB organized a seminar on 29 June 2011 at the university’s permanent campus at Bashundhara, Dhaka on “BDesh TV– An Online TV channel for Bangla programs and video streaming platform for future.”
Dr. Saiful Islam, Senior Design Engineer, IBM, USA and Director, BDesh TV, Inc., USA was the keynote speaker. Prof. Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor (In-Charge) of IUB inaugurated the seminar.
The objective of the seminar was to highlight a video presentation platform and its application to create an online TV channel. The speaker talked about online video and its application as a smart TV technology which is gaining huge recognition in the developed world. The seminar created a lot of enthusiasms among the students and faculty members. The seminar ended with a Q&A session where the students made quite a few inquisitive queries to the speaker about the emerging concept of online Bangla TV channels.
