The Division of Students Activity (DoSA) of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) arranged a football match titled IUB Independence Day Football Tournament 2012 on the 16th March, 2012 at the Banani Club Playground to observe the 41st Independence Day. A total of 12 teams participated and the champion team of the tournament was Lucky Strikes who beat Power Lords by 3-0 goals. The winning team was awarded by golden crest and medals and the runner up team with silver crest.
